International Development Knowledge

Stephen’s understanding of both urban planning and property economics led him to a senior strategic role within the development arm of the Dubai Government. In this position, he was responsible for expansion plans involving master-planned communities in Saudi Arabia and across Asia.

Planning Support for Liquor Licence Permits

Under the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998, every liquor licence and BYO permit—excluding pre-retail, limited and major event licences—requires the use of the licensed premises to comply with the applicable planning scheme under the Planning and Environment Act 1987.

Universal Planning assists applicants by preparing planning permit documentation that addresses the relevant council planning controls. This work can include a written assessment against Clause 52.27, a Site Analysis Plan, a Noise and Amenity Action Plan and, where required, a complex Cumulative Impact Assessment.
